Because if you practiced without proper knowledge, you might end up having no benefits at all. Read the instructions below about the best Yin Yoga poses and how to perform them.

●    Dragon Pose:

Yin Yoga is slow-paced, which means you can take as much time as you want in a pose. Dragon pose is one of the best poses to help you stretch your body. It is a variation of another pose but has been modified to fit Yin Yoga’s needs. This pose requires that a practitioner must have his body at a tangent while performing the pose. You should spread one leg behind, and keep your weight on one folded leg while supporting your pose with both of your hands parallel to your folded leg. You can try as many times as you want to get into this pose and stay in the pose as long as you feel comfortable.

●    Seal Pose:

Seal Pose is also one of the easy Yin Yoga poses that a practitioner can do without the teacher’s guidance. There are multiple ways to move in this pose and how to get in this pose. First of all, you will have to lay down while facing the earth on your prop. Slowly move your hands closer to your chest on both sides and lift the upper portion of your body while making sure that your body’s laying on the ground like a seal. Now maintain the pose as long as you want and then come back to the resting position.

●    Saddle Yoga Pose:

There are multiple ways to do this pose and some ways require using props and blankets to provide support. You should use support only if you want to stay in the pose for a long time. The first thing that you need to do to get in this pose is sit down while your legs are folded and your hips are touching your legs. Now, lean backward on your support or the ground. If you are unable to reach the ground, you should use some support. This is a tough position to stay in for a long time. So, you should look at how comfortable you are while doing this pose. After that, you should end this pose.

●    Square Pose:

This is the pose that you might have seen a lot of people sitting and doing. In Yin Yoga, this is an iconic, easy-to-do pose that you can do without the need for any support. The purpose of this pose is to connect your body with your brain and invoke your inner energy circles. It requires bending your right leg. After that, you put your right foot on your left leg ankle creating a square position. Now, make your arms in a comfortable position. Keep your eyes closed and focus on your inner self. It will help you connect with yourself.

●    Forward Bend:

It is a pose that you can do while standing and also while sitting down. This is a simple pose but has a lot of benefits for your back and your neck muscles. It helps you strengthen your muscles by providing gentle stretch, it also makes your muscles more flexible. The first thing you need to do is sit down and spread both legs in front of you. Now, use your hands to touch your toes while bending your body. You can do this by standing as well. In a standing pose you will not touch your feet but the ground.

●    Snail Pose:

Snail Pose is simple for those who have practiced all of the above poses. This pose requires complex body movement. To do a snail pose, you can start by laying down on the floor mat. Keeping your arms and everything in a normal position. Now, slowly move your legs upward and keep bending them till they reach the opposite side.
